I was knocked off my bicycle early in 2025 by a car not giving way at a roundabout. Luckily not an absolutely massive trauma but bad enough. Bicycle written off and a painfully and slow recovering fractured ankle that stopped me enjoying many parts of my life (including interstate travel, regular volunteer effort, reduced ability to exercise etc.). Insurance/replacement on my bicycle was eventually sorted via the drivers car insurance company (a whole other story). However, once I started looking dealing with the personal injury claim via the Insurance Commission (WA), something I have never had to deal with before, I became concerned that I was on my own without a good understanding of my rights and obligations. I sought out a professional to navigate the claims process for me.I approached Lian since he had good reviews and operated close to where I live. I met him twice during this extended process (once at the beginning and after claim settlement) with communication through email and phone during the 9 month process. Lian and Jason have figuratively held my hand through this - very professionally and with a lot of empathy. At times when I was feeling vulnerable they gently explained the processes involved and the reasons for their advice. I'm very happy with the outcome - they negotiated on my behalf every step of the way, kept me informed (and calm) and ensured what I believe was a very fair settlement given the impact on my life.I was concerned of course that I might get ripped off by excessive legal fees (I have heard by word of mouth that some firms can be a bit heavy handed with their charges). However, I believe Lian charged what was a very fair amount (stated upfront) for the work done and the excellent outcome for me. Thanks to Lian and Jason 🙂
